Real Life can be much more interesting than fiction.  Some real life events sound like the first 10 minutes of horror films...

In 2009, the H1N1 virus, responsible for 17,000 deaths worldwide during the  Swine Flu pandemic.  Most people now have an immunity too it.

But now, Scientists have managed to mutate it to bypass that immunity...

Cue the Horror Theme Music...

The work was done in a Level 2 Biohazard Lab.  Which is great, because we all know how well those work in films.  And if it escapes the lab humans would be defenceless against it.
